Colorado's Seventh District isn't just one community. It's suburban neighborhoods, mountain towns, working ranches, small businesses, growing families, retirees, veterans, and young people trying to build a future close to home. We don't all live the same lives, but we all deserve a representative who begins every decision with the same question:
"Is this good for the people of Colorado's Seventh District?"
That question will always matter more to me than pressure from Washington or expectations from either political party. My responsibility isn't to represent Washington to Colorado. It's to represent Colorado to Washington.
The cost of living isn't a political talking point, it's daily life.
I've talked with parents stretching every paycheck, retirees watching fixed incomes fall behind, and small-business owners wondering what new expense is coming next.
I believe Washington should make it easier for families to get ahead, not harder. That means responsible spending, affordable energy, sensible regulation, and policies that encourage growth instead of driving up costs.
Before I support any legislation, I'll ask one simple question:
Will this make life more affordable for the people of CD-7?
If the answer is no I will work to make it better or I will oppose it.
Owning a home shouldn't feel out of reach for the next generation.
Whether it's young families in Jefferson County, workers in our mountain communities, or longtime residents facing rising costs, housing has become one of Colorado's biggest challenges.
Washington can't solve every local problem, but it can stop making them worse. I'll support policies that reduce inflation, encourage responsible growth, strengthen our economy, and remove unnecessary barriers that increase housing costs.
Strong communities begin when people can afford to live, work, and raise their families where they choose to call home.
Water is more than a resource, it is Colorado's lifeblood.
It connects our mountain communities, our farms and ranches, our businesses, and every neighborhood across CD-7.
Colorado has spent generations developing practical solutions that fit our unique needs. I will work to protect our water rights, strengthen storage and infrastructure, improve forest health, and support long-term conservation without imposing one-size-fits-all solutions from Washington.
Decisions about Colorado's water should be guided by Colorado's people and Colorado's expertise.
Public safety isn't about politics, it's about peace of mind.
Every family deserves to feel safe at home, at school, and in their neighborhood.
I'll support law enforcement, first responders, and efforts to combat violent crime and the fentanyl epidemic while ensuring local communities have the flexibility to meet their own needs.
Safe communities allow businesses to grow, children to thrive, and neighbors to invest in one another.
A government's first responsibility is protecting the people it serves, and that responsibility should never become a partisan issue.
The American Dream should still be possible in Colorado.
That means good jobs, thriving small businesses, strong local industries, and opportunities that allow our children to build their futures here instead of somewhere else.
I'll support policies that encourage entrepreneurship, strengthen vocational education, invest wisely in infrastructure, and promote responsible energy development and innovation.
A government doesn't create prosperity on its own, but it should create an environment where hardworking people have every opportunity to succeed!
Healthy forests protect our homes, our water, our economy, and our way of life. Every wildfire reminds us that waiting is not a strategy.
I'll support active forest management, wildfire mitigation, watershed protection, and close cooperation with local communities and first responders. Colorado deserves practical stewardship that preserves both for future generations.
We don't have to choose between protecting our environment and protecting our families.
I am running to represent the people of Colorado's Seventh District, not a political party, not Washington, and not the loudest voices on TV.
That means I'll work with anyone who has a good idea, and I'll stand up to anyone - Republican or Democrat - when I believe they're putting politics ahead of Colorado. Independent judgment isn't about creating conflict. It's about remembering who sent me to Congress in the first place.
If a proposal helps the people of CD-7, I'll support it. If it doesn't, I'll fight to improve it or vote no.
